About

The Paw Print concept began in 2021. We are proud to support our community of pet owners by providing euthanasia in the comfort and familiarity of the home environment.

Paw Print was created by Ashley O’Driscoll, Veterinarian and Director of Enlightened Animal Partnerships, Limited.

We work closely with you and your pet’s regular veterinarian to ensure that we maintain the important bond between the client, pet, and veterinarian.

We currently provide home euthanasia for pets in the Kirikiriroa/Hamilton, Northern Waikato, and South Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland regions.

Are you a Veterinarian interested in referring a client to Paw Print and you are outside of these regions?

Our home euthanasias are currently $420-525 (this does not include cremation), depending on travel. Please contact us for up to date pricing for your location. For more information about home euthanasia click here.

Ashley O’Driscoll, DVM, graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (Canada). She has worked in New Zealand as a pet and farm animal veterinarian since moving here in 2010. Ashley has a strong interest in animal welfare, and is proud to offer the first home euthanasia referral service for pets in the Waikato. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys her farm and her retired Heading dog, Nell.

Kate Delbridge graduated from Massey University in 2021 and worked as a companion animal vet in South Taranaki before heading to the Waikato to continue as a companion animal and exotics vet. Kate is a wonderful addition to the the Paw Print team, and will help us continue to provide a high quality of care at this difficult part of the journey for pets and owners. In her spare time Kate loves spending time at the beach and visiting her friends and family.

Jo (Josefine) Bennien graduated in 2015, and pursued a PhD in Germany before relocating to New Zealand in 2019.  She now works as a companion animal, farm animal, and exotics veterinarian. We are very excited to have Jo join the Paw Print team, bringing her attention to detail and desire to connect closely with pets and owners during a home visit. Outside the clinic, she spends time with friends, tends to her feline companion Stella, and indulges in leisurely beach outings, occasionally trying her hand at surfing.

You did amazing and made Borange’s journey so nice and as easy as it can be for all of us, thank you so much.

Margaret (Waitakaruru)

The decision to put to sleep a loved pet is one of the hardest calls an owner has to make. To  be able to offer the option of home euthanasia to these owners through Ashley is very comforting.

Shanaka Sarathchandra, Lead Vet, Pet Doctors Tristram St

Thank you for making the process calm and relaxing for JD, to have it peacefully done at home would have seen his last moments here with us a little more happier.
